Hey there! Thanks for checking out my work.
My name is Abigail Busing. I’m a professional photographer located in the Manhattan. KS area who specializes in fun family portraiture. I’d love to create some beautiful imagery for you and your family, near or far! I am always up for a good road trip.
I strive to create images in a unique and consistent way. I would describe my style as:
playful, bold, & authentic.
I’m a sucker for golden sunsets, bold color choices, grungy buildings, and eye-crinkling smiles. Here at Archetype Images my goal is to keep your personality at the forefront of your images and highlight the connections between you and your loved ones. I often use prompts (in addition to posing) in order to create compelling images that tell a story.
How it all began:
I first realized my passion for photography when I was a teenager. I remember grabbing my mom’s old-school digital point-and-shoot and running into the yard to take pictures of every flower that caught my eye. The world has always seemed a bit more magical when I am looking through that lens.
When I was in high school, I saved up my money bought a Nikon D3200. I continued taking pictures of the world around me and started dabbling in portraiture as well. When my second son was born, I upgraded my lens and realized all the potential I held in my hands! I started learning how to shoot in Manual and how to “see” the light. Since then I’ve learned so much about posing, lighting, and camera mechanics! I’m most passionate about photographing children, families, and nature - although I do enjoy shooting couples and intimate weddings as well.
In addition to offering portrait sessions I create and sell fine art nature prints. You can check out my most recent works of art and purchase a piece (or many) for your walls at: https://archetypeimages.shootproof.com/gallery/nature-fine-art/
